Urban Gardens in Colorado Springs

GREAT THINGS IN COLORADO SPRINGS!
Pikes Peak Urban Gardens, a non-profit, was formed in 2007 in response to need for more community gardens in the region. While Denver boasted of 100 such Gardens, in 2007 there were only 3 here. Since then during the past two seasons, PPUG has helped established 6 community gardens, 1 large demonstration garden, 2 micro farmers market, 2 urban farms and offered numerous educational outreach programs to schools and community groups.
PPUG is seeing record numbers of people interested in learning how to grow their own food. Are you interested in cultivating and planting your own backyard garden or would you like to become a volunteer with an already established garden? Then check out www.ppugardens.org for more information.
